What is NerdHerder?

NerdHerder is a Cambridge-based journal consisting of essays about all of your favourite academically-undervalued media. We cover TV shows, movies, songs, podcasts, fanfiction and more, are are aiming to release two to three issues per terms. All issues will be online.

And so, we want your essays! Please send us your essays about fox symbolism in Fleabag; your argument that Howard Shore has done more for Middle Earth than J. R. R. Tolkien; your Marxist analysis of The Bee Movie (except that one’s already been written by a member of our lovely editorial team). Articles should be 1-2,000 words in length and written in a way that’s fairly similar to your average Cambridge essay, with citations, good academic prose, etc. but more fun! Formatting wise: Arial font, size 12, with 1.5 line spacing. Referencing should be MHRA style, or as close as you can get. Articles should be submitted via email to nerdherder.cam@gmail.com, in .doc or .docx form.
